8 week update

I am very late on this and I have a feeling when I go to the OB today she is going to move my EDD to 12/30/13 based on LMP which I am fine with. So yea really behind but I am going to update anyway for memory sake. :)

Last Friday we had our last RE appt. I was nervous but at the same time so calm and I just had such a positive feeling that things were going to be great. And they were. Baby measured (ahead according to trigger timing but right on schedule according to LMP) at 8w3d with a heart rate of 170bpm. So we officially GRADUATED from the RE. Heck yea! :) So exciting!

Below is our u/s pics from 6 week u/s and 8 week u/s. HUGE difference.

8 week u/s baby's head is on the right...

Oh and some other AWESOME news. I found baby's heartbeat on the doppler last night!!! I was searching for like 40 mins. Before I attempted finding it I watched a few youtube videos with some helpful hints for finding it early with the doppler (8-9 weeks). I was just about to give up when all the sudden I heard it. It was so so so neat. I can't even explain. I was yelling for F to come in the room and hear it. :) We took some video of it too.

And now my ugly bump picture. I should really put some make up on before I take these. Yuck.

How far along? 8w5d
Weight: Same. Up. Ranging between 111-114. :/

Symptoms: peeing 3-4 times a night, boobs are ginormous, hungry. all. the. time.
Maternity clothes: Not yet, but I was tempted this weekend with all the Memorial Day sales. I did buy some dresses though, non maternity for summer.
Stretch marks? Not any that I didn't come into this pregnancy with.
Sleep? II still love sleep but last night I slept horribly. I couldn't fall asleep to begin with and then I swear I only slept in 1 hour intervals. Everything was waking me up and of course getting up to pee as well.
Best moment last week? Seeing baby and it looked like an actual BABY with a great heart beat.
Movement? Not for a long time...

Food cravings/aversions? Just being a piggy. Everything sounds good all the time. I scare myself.
Gender? ???
Belly button? In for a long time

What I miss? Nothing this week. :)
What I am looking forward to: My OB appointment today!!
Milestones: We officially GRADUATED from the RE! AND I found baby's heart beat on the doppler last night. AMAZING!!!!

7w5d

My PgAL brain is starting to kick in again this week since my 8 week appointment is nearing. I am afraid of things going badly. Like no heartbeat and growth stopped at so and so weeks/days. I am trying to distract myself by coming up with an announcement idea for when we announce on FB in June. Most of the time I am positive but this week I am starting to get very anxious and nervous.

At my 6w U/S they advised me to call my OB and schedule my 1st appointment there because they will release me from the RE at 8w. I was avoiding calling because I didn't want to have to call and cancel if something goes wrong on Friday. I finally convinced myself to call last Friday and schedule. I wasn't sure what their protocol was and when they would see me. Anyway they want me to come in Tuesday the 28th which is really soon. I was very surprised.

How far along? 7w5d
Weight: Same. Up. Pre-pregnancy (meaning a day before my + HPT) I was 108, which was already up from my normal range of 102-105. Now I am ranging between 111-114. :(
Symptoms: Extreme fatigue, peeing 3-4 times a night, boobs are ginormous. I am going to need a new bra very very soon.

Maternity clothes: Not yet, but geez all my clothes are tight. AHH!
Stretch marks? No new ones.

Sleep? I love sleep. I am in bed most nights before 9pm. On the weekends I fall asleep during the day for "cat naps". So strange.

Best moment last week? Making it another week. And my parents brought me their old treadmill so I can/will start walking every day.
Movement? Not for a long time...

Food cravings/aversions? Not really. Still just a lil piggy. Oh one strange thing happened when I was cooking eggs this weekend and the smell was disgusting. I almost had to stop cooking them and thought I wouldn't be able to eat them but I still did.
Gender? No clue

Belly button? In for a long time

What I miss? Not worrying about what I am eating. Like lunch meat, coffee, tea. I know not all people avoid these things but I am a worry wort and I don't need one more thing to worry about.
What I am looking forward to: My 8week U/S THIS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Milestones: I am the most pregnant I have ever been. :)

Now for my "bump" pic. Please excuse my extra tired look and pimple face. The hormones make me break out EVERYWHERE. Not cute. I should have taken this picture before we went to the Greek Fest and pigged out, not after. haha. Also excuse all the dog toys in the background. As soon as I put the toys in the toy bin they take them all back out one by one like a game.

I am pregnant- 6w4d

It has taken me a while to write this post...obviously. I have been really excited, a different feeling than the last time I was pregnant. BUT also scared to jinx it which I know is silly.

Today I am 6w4d pregnant.
I got a positive HPT on Monday 04/22/13. I called my RE's office to have blood drawn.

Beta #1 on 04/22/13--HCG came back at 33.9 and progesterone at 12.9.
Beta #2 on 04/24/13--HCG came back at 117 and progesterone at 14.8.

My RE's office only does 2 betas and schedules you for your first U/S at 6 weeks. The nurse of course wanted to go off of LMP. Which I really didn't understand. She explained it as I did TI and not IUI or IVF so they go off LMP. I was all but but but I triggered why won't we go off of trigger date. Anyways. She told me I would be 6 weeks on Monday May 6th. I knew I would not be and was afraid to go through the same thing we went through last October. So I scheduled my 6 week U/S for Friday May 10th, which would put me at 6w1d according to 36 hours after trigger.

The two weeks in between my betas and the U/S were OK. I was way more calm about the whole pregnancy. Of course I continued to take pregnancy tests because I needed to reassure myself, which drove F crazy. I told him to just deal with it. He just wanted me to quit putting myself through the stress. I was fine until Monday May 6th when I got really sad and convinced myself that this was not going to turn out well. My lack of symptoms was also weighing heavy on my mind. I was googling everything and tried to remind myself that every pregnancy is different and I don't HAVE to have morning sickness or sore boobs. My only symptoms are extreme fatigue and getting up 3-4 times a night to pee. I also did a DIY framed mirror to chalkboard project during this time to keep me occupied.

So on to the U/S...

The whole drive to the RE and the whole time we waited in the waiting room I said over and over in my head "Please let us see a heartbeat. Please let this be our take home baby". I will also add that I waited almost 30 mins after my appt before we were seen and of course we got there about 20 mins early. That is the longest I have EVER waited at my RE's office. OMG.

I was crying before she even did the U/S because I was so afraid. Then the U/S tech asks me when my LMP was. I asked her can we please go off my trigger date because LMP puts me further a long. She said no. I kept arguing and she could tell I was upset and just told me "OK, let's look at U/S and see how far along you are." Fine. In goes the dildo cam and I see the lil speck with a FLICKER. I was not sure if I was correct until she said "I see a heartbeat". I was of course crying for real now and clinching F's poor hand. She explained what we were looking at baby, yolk sac. I wasn't even listening to her really. She measured the heartbeat at 112 bpm and we also got to listen to it. It was AMAZING!!! Oh and baby measured 6w0d... which is only one day off from what I thought. :) My next U/S is Friday May 24th at 8 weeks.

I know we have a LONG way before we are out of the woods but I have to let myself be excited and I am. F is over the moon.

We told out parent's on Mother's day by buying our mom's coffee mugs that said grandmother in about every possible grandmother word I have ever heard. My mom didn't get it. I videoed her. lol. She cried when she figured it out. My mom has been very involved in our TTC journey and struggles. I had to tell my mom because I had been avoiding her for two weeks and she thought I was mad at her. I just knew I couldn't keep the secret so I didn't want to talk to her. Glad that is over with. She kept calling me her estranged daughter. Annoying. F's mom was very excited as well.

Now some pictures.

during painting. It was hot pink to start.
